Hello,
Our magento multilanguage sterix setup returns 404 errors on all pages on googlebot crawler. We test using google webmaster tools, after submitting a sitemap.xml generated my the admin.
Here is the response header captured by the googlebot agent:
HTML Code:
HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found Date: Fri, 11 Oct 2013 17:34:31 GMT Server: Apache/2.2.22 (Debian) Set-Cookie: frontend=j6bn17m6pdt5v108stseece017; expires=Fri, 11-Oct-2013 18:34:31 GMT; path=/; domain=www.rouride.com; HttpOnly Expires: Thu, 19 Nov 1981 08:52:00 GMT Cache-Control: no-store, no-cache, must-revalidate, post-check=0, pre-check=0 Pragma: no-cache Set-Cookie: jm_sterix_tpl=jm_sterix; expires=Wed, 01-Oct-2014 17:34:31 GMT; path=/ Status: 404 File not found Vary: Accept-Encoding Content-Encoding: gzip Content-Length: 9696 Keep-Alive: timeout=15, max=100 Connection: Keep-Alive Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head> <title>404 Not Found 1</title> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> <meta name="description" content="Page description" /> <meta name="keywords" content="Page keywords" /> <meta name="robots" content="INDEX,FOLLOW" /> <link rel="icon" href="http://www.rouride.com/media/favicon/default/239.gif" type="image/x-icon" /> <link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://www.rouride.com/media/favicon/default/239.gif" type="image/x-icon" />
This happens with all pages and URL rewrite ON, using apache mod_rewrite…
Any help?

Hi mary,
I think this is a problem related to the hosting or probably some other settings, I have no ideals of how we can help this case , did you contact your hosting manager to get an advise ?
Well, we own the hosting server, but this problem seem to be related to magento + SEO + multilanguage site, more than any apache or web server issue. Any help will be appreciated.
