How to put splitter between the navigation menu

Hi Team,
I have been trying to add vertical line or splitter between the top navigation menu,
but not able to achieved it, how it can be done.
Iam using magento 1.9

Hi Team,
As of now I am working in my local dev system and customizing the mega menu look, but I am not able to add splitter or vertical line between the navigation menu, I have added the image of top navigation please have a look.
