 Hello
I am being prompted in the back end to update to 1.9.1
I have done quite a lot of customisation to the theme. How can I update and protect the changes I have made?

Hi Wayne,
We have plan for about this upgrade. We will for you know soon. Magento 1.9.1.0 compatible with magento 1.9.0.1 so you can upgrade it from admin.

Admin panel -> System -> Magento Connect -> Magento Connect Manager

Check for Upgrades

Mage_All_Latest -> select Upgrade to 1.9.1.0

If you can’t do it. Please contact with us we are have services for it.

Hi Wayne, 
I’m not sure because your theme have been customize many.  Please PM me your site’s url. I will re-check and let you know.
Other way you can clone live site to folder dev and try upgrade to magento 1.9.1.0.
If ok you can upgrade to live site.
Let me know if you have been trouble.
