I am just wondering how do I put the ores template to pages like checkout, my account, about us.

You wonder only setting the Ores template for some page: checkout, my account, about us… and other pages are set with other templates, don’t you?
Magento supports multiple templates for multiple website.
You can only set Custom Design for the cms page (Admin -> CMS -> Pages) or product page . If you want to customize papes as checkout, my account, you need to modify in phtml files in templates folder.
Solved the problem another way. When to System>configuration>design then under template i just put jm_ores and now Ores is shown on all pages
