I am using jm-crafts
1. When a product is added to the cart I want to update the cart icon from the top right of the page in top links to indicate to the customer that a cart item is in there without the need for the customer to hover over the cart link.
this could be achevied by making the cart background flash for a few seconds or show the number of items as a small number in the top right if the icon box.
2. Problem I have installed ahead works filter navigation but once the filter is applied the quick view no longer works.
It seems the page gets rebuilt without the quickview overlay so when you hover over a product the quick view button is not displayed.
You can see if you load a page before the filters are applied the quick view works but then try a filter to see this no longer is the case.

I need more clarification to your questions:
1) Do you wish to change the cart background for a while when an item is added to cart?
2) Could you let me know steps to reproduce the quickview’s issue with ahead works filter? I checked and see that the quickview is working fine.
1: the cart icon needs grab the customers attention and also needs to show the customer how many items are in the cart without the need to hover over the cart.
2) the quick view works on first page load fine, but then apply a fliter and you will see that the quick view no longer works

1) For the first issue, it’s quite complicated and requires to update pertty much of code. I am afraid that it’s beyond our scope of support.
2) Regarding the issue of quickview, you can pm me your url, admin and FTP credentials, I will investigate further.
