after installation of your sample-data the collation changes from utf8 to latin and also you have #__ tables in your db.
Ist this ok ?
I think for a produtive environment I have to install Magento original without the "Quickstart" option.

There is a step in the installation of magento which asks you for a suffix table.
I am afraid that you have ignored this step. Please kindly try to install your website via the steps of magento.

with the quickstart that’s not possible. The prefix field is blank and after the installation the prefix is in the db.
