i have the following error on the front page:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 84 bytes) in /home/xxx/public_html/store/lib/Zend/Db/Statement/Pdo.php on line 294
I also cant access the backend as well.
its very urgent ..

Dear media991,
Your memory limit is still set to 8 MB. You need to increase it.
You can confirm your memory limit value by adding info.php infront of your url .
http://www.xxxxx.com/store/info.php >> search for term memory_limit , and you can see it is set to 8 MB.
I have deleted your earlier two threads which were duplicate.

I am sorry, i dont use Magento. But the two ways i know of increasing the memory limit did not work your site. I tried changing it via php.ini file as well as via .htacess file. No luck with that.
I would suggest you to get in touch with your hosting company for the same or raise the issue in Magento Forums. This is a server config issue.

Thanks again for the quick reply. Yes we tried this earlier but with no luck as well. We’ve contacted our host and hopefully they will be able to fix the server config issue

I did wonder where the earlier threads had gone.
You host obviously does not allow local php.ini files so as arvind states, you will need to speak to them to get your problem resolved.
As for having your php info visible to anyone that is a security risk and you should disable that asap.
