Featured products in JM Product Slider

Hi
I am using JM Minisite with jm product slider and I hope someone can advise me on a problem I have.

I wish to display only the ‘featured’ items on my homepage and this is not currently working.

All my products are currently set up using the Default attribute set and although the ‘featured’ attribute seems to be included in this set. It does not display the option to use in the product section of admin.

Can anyone please advise?
