General install step: 2. Extension Installation

Hi,
I’m trying for the second time to install this. The instruction said :

3. Navigate to System >> Configuration.
4. To enable an actual extension, in back-end, enter this one’s tab and set Enable to “Yes”.

However there are no tabs for each extension. I have logged around in other places and there are none as well.
Trying to flush the magento cache will produce a blank screen, requiring me to reinstall and start over again.
I want to avoid experiencing this error for the first time. What to do?
Heiko

Is this the only way to contact someone at ubertheme? I have been "playing" with this for about five hours and I didn't get past the first step yet. I'm sure this can't be such a huge issue? Maybe compability with existing extensions on the site?

Hi bikerzbits,
The theme has been updated but our guide has not been updated yet.
When you navigate to System > Configuration, in the left panel, there will be a section called JoomlArt (underneath sections: General, …) Within this section, there is a list of extensions provided by JoomlArt. Or you can navigate by JoomlArt section besides System section.
With Ubertheme -- JM Megamall, you just download package of this theme via downloads section, extract its files/folders to assocated directories of your site (mostly in ‘app’, ‘skins’ folders). And replicate the same process for extensions.
After that, please logout and re-login backend system. You will see the extensions list to enable them.
Pls check out the documentation of theme for more info: http://www.ubertheme.com/docs/magento-general-installation/

Hi Ozi.,

thanks for trying to help. However I am not sure why you send me a link to the documentation which I of course have read as stated in my
original post and which I of course have followed (already twice).
The problem here is not that I didn’t read the docs.

Hi,
I have done the whole process now for the fourth time. Still there is no sight of megamall in the back end.
I’ve been on this for more than 24 hours now and I need to get it sorted.
Please advise

Hi bikerzbits,
I’m terribly sorry for the last reply, something went wrong with the editor and it stripped some content.
Here is my full answer.

When you navigate to System > Configuration, in the left panel, there will be a section called JoomlArt (underneath sections: General, …)
Within this section, there is a list of extensions provided by JoomlArt or JoomlArt section is standing to the right of System section.
With Ubertheme -- JM Megamall, you just download package of this theme via downloads section, extract its files/folders to assocated directories of your site (mostly in ‘app’, ‘skins’ folders).
And replicate the same process for extensions.
Pls check out the documentation of theme for more info: http://www.ubertheme.com/docs/magento-general-installation/

In case you can not see JoomlArt section on your site, please send me your account to check it carefully.
