I would like to change the breakpoints for the megamenu horizontal navigation so that it displays the mobile navigation when the screen is 1024px or less?
I am afraid that it needs pretty much customization for the change you mentioned. This is beyond the scope of our standard support. At present, we support mobile navigation for the screen below 767px as per standard Magento.
Please consider hiring someone who can help you with this customization.
