How to replace the JM Wall logo?

Hi, Support,

Could you please tell me where to find the template JM Wall’s actual logo image (back-end, also in the Magento root directory), and how to replace the logo on the site. Is this done through the Magento Configuration back-end or otherwise?

Thanks.

Hi
This is how I did it
Upload my logo to here
/skin/frontend/base/default/images/top_logo.png -- you can rename your logo and use any image typ e.g. jpg, png etc

You need to tell magento the name of your logo you can do change this through your magento admin
Goto System>configuration>design>header
and in logo img scr add this "images/top_logo.png" replacing top_logo.png with your logo name

Hope this helps

Thank you for your reply, but in the skin/frontend/base/default/images folder on my site there is no top_logo.png, and also in the System/Confiiguration/Designer/Hearder, the Logo Image Src I see: images/logo.gif , although even logo.gif can’t be found in the above folder you have indicated!

I have used the quickstart package.

the default image for this template is here

/jm_wall/skin/frontend/default/jm_wall/images/logo.gif -- this will change depending on which colour you choose e.g.

jm_wall/skin/frontend/default/jm_wall/images/green/logo.gif -- if you use the green

The info I gave, details how to upload your own image of any name or type and assign it to your magento site

OK, thanks. It is clear now. My aim is replacing the template logo with my site’s logo. I am new to Magento, so I do not understand how else one could place a logo. The logo has to fit the template normally so depending on what color I choose eventually for the site, I need to replace the logo for that color.

Yea the easiest way is upload your logo to replace the existing logo and as long as they are both named the same and are of the same type eg. gif your logo will be displayed
