I have one category and I need to split it in two subcategories. How can I show these two subcategories in the category listing page?

I wonder whether you mention about Mega Menu or Category management? Please help to explain in more details, I will give you suggestion then.
Hi,
It’s about category management. Instead of products I want to show subcategories… ex. main category "Writing instruments" and subcategories "Pencils" and "Pens". When I click on the "Pens" I will see the products that belongs to that subcategory.
Our theme does not support that option by default.
