Thanks for posting this tutorial. This is very handy since I have to install the template without a Quickstart.
I am a little confused. I have uploaded the jm_purity app and skin to my server. I have also added jm_purity to the theme in the magento admin, but it is not showing up when I refresh the magento site. What am I doing wrong?
Can you please give me some additional direction.
Thank you very much
Hailey
You should copy the folders you get after unzipping to your magento directory. There are a lot of folders, but those folders are there so that the files from JM Purity go to the right directory in Magento.
It will be something like"
skin/default/default/yada/yada/yada/jm_purity/ and files
also, maybe:
apps/default/default/yada/yada/yada/jm_purity and files and other directories.
Just copy the two main folders (that have all additional folders and files) to your first Magento directory, and choose to overwrite the existing folders when it asks.
What if the files are all moved over, but the template is still not showing up in the frontend.
I have gone to system>configuration…etc and put in the information as shown in the userguide and it is still not showing up.
Any suggestions?
Thanks very much
Hailey
Cpanel doesn’t ask me to replace the folders that already exsists, it makes you remove the folder and then copy in the new one. I did that yesterday and I got an internal error and had to reboot the whole site again.
Any suggestions? Should I rename it?
Thanks
Hailey
Hailey,
I hope you were able to resolve your issue. If not, please write JA Developer or one of the other admins in the forum requesting for further help.
I am only a user like you. I was hoping to help you, but I suppose I wasn’t able to.
Good luck with everything.
