How do i change the Popular searches down at the bottom left to latest news and post some articles in there?
I’m new to magento, and still am getting familiar to it.

In administrator, please go to Cms -> Static Block -> Find Popular search record to edit. In the edit, you can change the name, the content of block to your suitable.
In magento, it does not support you to create an article like Joomla.
