I have a question about the featured product in the menu & product extension on the homepage. All settings your website describes are correct in my static blocs and mega menu. Now I wonder what settings I need to apply to products that I want to show in this category. (on my website I want to call in ‘Popular’ instead. Is this a problem?)
How do I make sure that a product is displayed in the category menu or on the home page? What steps do I have to take?

Hi Mirella,
To display a category that shows featured products only, you can follow this steps:
1, Create a category -- named “Popular”
2, Create products with featured attribute and add them into “Popular” category
3, Go to JoomlArt >> JM Products
4, Change Mode = Featured Product and Save configure
Now all featured products will be shown at homepage

As far as showing it on the home page, I will first have to find out how to create products with featured attibute. I keep trying, but I can’t find out how that works. But I guess this is not a question you should answere? (if you can, it would be realy great!)
Then it is also possible to show featured products in the menu (position 15). When will a product be shown overthere?

Hello Windig,
Thank you for the explanation about the featured product settings. I went through it step by step. Actualy, step ‘2 featured product settings’ does’nt have a ‘Parameters explanation’. So I only filled in the title ‘featured’ and named ‘manage label/options’. I left the rest as the picture indicates, but I doubt if this is correct.
I folowed the next steps, but at step 5, I don’t understand the end of explanation ‘Catalog >> Manage Products >> select product >> add product with featured attribute = YES.’
Should I choose somewhere for ‘add product with featured attribute = YES’? I don’t get this message anywhere when I select a product. I work with configurable products…is this a problem?
I completed the guide but still don’t see any products on my homepage or in the menu 🙁
