syntax error, unexpected

I’ve completed the Quick Start installation and it works. Only on the front page no products are displayed. I get the following error message:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘)’ in / shop / app / design / frontend / default / jm_painite / template / joomlart / jmproducts / list.phtml on line 1

I have now solved the problem. I had to delete the content in the CMS Home Pages page.
