Thanks for your reply to my message and the link to MageConnect. MageConnect is very cool. I can’t wait for it to be released.

Regarding its use, I speculate that you should be able to use any Joomla Template as well as any Magento Template. You marry the two together with the use of the component, and are able to add products in Joomla by way of modules and plugins.

I really can’t say how it works though until it is released in late July. It seems very promising though.
