I’m beginning to migrate my 1.9.x site to a new Magento 2.0 install and wanted to verify that all customer passwords can be used on the new Magento 2.0 site after install. I’m getting different takes on whether this can be done and I like your product. Can you please let me know if your tool does this -- we do not want our customers to have to enter a new password. We want them to use their existing password.

Thanks for your interest in our product.
Even though Magento 2 changes the encryption model, our migration tool allows to migrate customer password automatically, no need to set new passwords. You can check out this case study for further reference (we helped Winetasting.com – Migrate 382,047 customer entities to Magento 2)

We did mention about the password migration already as follows:
… our migration tool allows to migrate customer password automatically, no need to set new passwords.
Once you complete the migration process, your migrated customers from Magento 1 can still use the same credentials in Magento 2. No need for them to change their existing passwords.
