I am using two of your magento templates that are version 1.6…that is very much outdated as the magento platform is now at 1.7.01… when are these old templates going to be updated? Your blog shows only one template that is current, the latest…somehow this is not what I expect from your developers club membership…old unusable templates that are security vulnerable.
Magento is for shopping carts, dedicated ips and secure https data transfers, yet your templates are a security issue!

Currently, we only have the theme version updated to 1.6.
We are running full capacity in upgrading not only Magento but also our Joomla template as J1.5 version is going to its end of life pretty soon. We would love to get all of our products up to its latest version, however we have limited number of people in the team who has already been working full time and even extra hours on those upgrade. Hence we cannot commit when would those updates will be release… it takes time. We shall try our best to upgrade in very near furture, please be patient.And follow our subscribe to our RSS feed and check our Updates.

The Magento team has issued a security patch for all versions of Magento…this is included in the version 1.7.2…however your templates are outdated and are security issues. Please update your versions quickly. You are selling products that are security flawed…
Or, give us instructions for updating to 1.7.2 so we can have secure shopping carts. You are ignoring the magento customers…

well correct me if i’m wrong, but that does not update my site with Joomlart template, but rather a generic site with updated Magento…I assume i would have a Magento 1.7.2 site, with all the data in place, but what about the template updates? does this process retain all the Joomlart Magento template designs etc?

May I know which JoomlArt Magento theme are you using? There are a few of our new themes are already compatible with Magento version 1.7, other old themes are still running with version 1.6.1, in which we are trying to upgrade these pretty soon. However we have limited time on those upgrades which our team are working full capacity on carrying out on such. I hope you understand.
With your assumption, in order to upgrade to magento 1.7.2, make sure that this theme is compatible with this magento version first (and also extensions, too), and this upgrade will not change all the theme design, just change overridden code: css, js (if needed) to work with new features in the new magento version, so don’t worry about the design.

I meant we need to wait for releasing this template cause with current version of 1.6, the template may work but we’ll not sure it all functions will work properly. We are in process of upgrade magento template to 1.7 version so please be patient.

thank you for the magento updated templates…what is the recommended process to update? Install new altered template files? Or do i have to update the magento core…which is first…please recommend procedures
