Why can't I remove the product stage?

Our UB Data Migration Pro module allows to migrate either Customers or Sales, however, it still needs to migrate related data portion, depending on which data objects you need:
To migrate Customers, you need to migrate steps:

• Step 1 (Database Settings)
• Step 2 (Migrate Sites, Stores)
• Step 6 (Migrate Customers)

To migrate Sales data, you need to migrate steps:

• Step 1 (Database Settings)
• Step 2 (Migrate Sites, Stores)
• Step 3 (Migrate Attributes)
• Step 4 (Migrate Categories)
• Step 5 (Migrate Products)
• Step 6 (Migrate Customers)
• Step 7 (Migrate Sales)

Hi Shaun, 

This isn’t the case with the mangeto data migration tool, it appears to use the flat data for past orders without moving the products.

If you decide to move forward with our UB Data Migration Pro module, we can provide a tweak code that helps you migrate only customers (without migrating products). 
However, it’s hard to ensure the data integrity (data relationship of a sales order) in this case. There might be unexpected issues when viewing a sales order in the backend of M2 after migration.
