I have been trying to select images from a directory for the slideshow, but the ajax request always fails with a 404 Not Found error, leaving the “Please Wait” message permanently displayed and all controls locked until I refresh the page. Using Firefox diagnostic tools, I have been able to find that the ajax destination url is “https://zfitevolve.com/index.php/jmslideshow/adminhtml_index/listImages/key/d23bcdae5ee1657a05672d13ba30d9bb/”. I have been doing some troubleshooting and research of my own, but so far have been unable to find enough relevant information to get it working. I am using Magento v1.9.3.8.

Your system seems to have hijacked the quotation mark I tried to add to enclose the url and instead encoded it and added it to the url.

I did update configuration in your admin and the issue has been resolved. For your information, you should have the setting below enabled:
admin -> System -> Configuration -> ADVANCED -> Admin -> Security -> Admin routing compatibility mode for extensions (Enable)
Best Regards,
Ziven.
I see that it’s working now, thank you for your help.
