Cannot Upload product images

I am working on a mac and have used multiple browsers to attempt to upload product images. Clicking browse opens file browser, but nothing happens once an image is selected. I used the JM_Sporty 1.7 quickstart installation and have the site hosted with GoDaddy. Please help!

@ 51wraps,

I have checked your store in a Mac laptop and could not detect the problem mentioned ( I did check on firefox, chrome, safari browsers). See screenshot below to see that the image got uploaded normally at my end.
