I’m new to magento. Using JM purity. Where the heck do I edit the menus such as the top menus and bottom footer menus. I see that the main menu is automatic from the categories.
Please help!

In this thread I still do not see the possiblity to modifiy Magento template. For example I have JM Ores and I need to change the colour to "Light" and disable the template color links.
Where do I do this?
Thanks
Joy
Dear achajoy!
You and i ‘ll discuss on this thread
Dear PaulWallen,
I’m new to Magento too, but your observation that some main menu items come automatically from products categories has solved a brainstorm for me. Now I see it comes from the file sidenav.phtml
I’m using JM Anion but as far as I know in the main menu "Home" and "Anion’s Color" come from the file: app>design>frontend>default>jm_anion>template>cata log>navigation>top.phtml. You can edit that file and add a Main Menu link.
You can change the "Designed by Joomlart" at the bottom of the page by editing the file app>design>frontend>default>jm_anion>template>page >html>footer.phtml.
The "Default Welcome Msg!" can be changed at the backend. Go to System>Configuration>General>Design>Header.
You can change the copyright at System>Configuration>General>Design>Footer
The footer links "About Us" and "Customer Service" come from the admin backend CMS>Statci Blocks>Footer Links
I still need to find out where the rest come from.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Tomas
Well I dived in to magento yesterday! and so far I’m a bit disappointed. Yes, its the most professional looking cart, however to edit a simple top menu you have to do a hard core file change all the way to for example:
/public_html/app/design/frontend/default/jm_fashira/template/catalog/navigation/top.phtml
Is there a admin backend way to do this a more simple way? like in joomla which is very easy to mange edit and create menu items and new menus.
