In Joomla whether you use the bundled mobile solutions or an extension you have the ability to implement different menus and pages for desktop vs. mobile. I’m trying to figure out how to do that in Magento with JM Pixeri.
For this project we want to use the default desktop menu structure, but when someone visits the site with a mobile device, we need to present a different main main with pages we’ll optimize for mobile devices.
On both desktop and mobile we’ll use the same My Account functions (My Account. My Wishlist, My Cart, Checkout, Log In) and probably the same footer construction.
We would prefer to stick with the same domain, but if necessary we could probably set up something like ‘m.mysite.com’ and redirect mobile customers there.
Q) How do we set up and implement a separate menu system for mobile and desktop?
