Having an issue with the shop by when viewing a category with sub categories.
It does not list the categories but instead has this:
__($_FILTER->GETNAME()) == ‘CATEGORY’ ? ‘CATEGORIES’ : $THIS->__($_FILTER->GETNAME()) ?>

That because you are make wrong custom code in our jm kidsland theme. Don’t use the PHP short tag: <?=?> in Magento.
I have created a backup and edit the template file at app/design/frontend/default/jm_kidsland/template/catalog/layer/view.phtml
The issue as you said was solved.
