Hi all,
I’m having problems on adding a widget (static cms block) on the left-column. I’m quite new to magento and can use all the help i can. After searching on google and the forum, i’ve still didn’t find a solution. Could someone give me some instructions how i can add widgets with this theme? I’ve tried lot’s of layout configurations, but nothing seems to work. Your help will be very appreciated.

In this case I think you shouldn’t need to use Widget. Please call the static block directly in layout xml files. You could follow this article:
