The GL iNet GL AR300M setup is pretty simple, and this is particularly handy while on the road, working at a remote spot, or just surfing the Internet. Just power the device up, then connect your computer either through Ethernet or WiFi, open a browser, go to 192.168.8.1, and you will be presented with an admin panel. Here you will have to go through a few steps such as selection of default language, change some security settings like the admin password (the default is usually admin), and select the Network Mode you want, i.e., Repeater, Tethering, or Router. Then you head to security settings to customize your WiFi name and password. You could configure additional features here as well, like enabling VPN or upgrading the firmware to protect yourself even more. And there you have it: your GL-AR300M should be ready to go in no time!
