We hired a “expert developer” with extensive joomlart experience to come in and do some basic css work. Instead of doing this on a test server and then uploading the changes to the live site he took a short cut and did his work on our live server causing a substantial site crash and some pretty big headaches.
He gave us a list of files that he changed which we restored from back ups we had a day or so previous however the front page sliders do not slide any longer and the manual scroll buttons do not work. It appears he did not make a complete list of his modifications or we are missing something obvious. Can anyone point me to where we should look for a fix ? We have 2 days wasted fixing his work so far and really do not want to do a 4 day roll back on the server.
We did installed a “patch” given to us for the sliders which was V.2.1.6 this morning with no change. Sliders still do not slide.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
