JM Extensions – Mode Atribute Codes

Can you tell me the list of system attribute codes for the various Modes used by the JM Extensions?

I see these modes:

  • Latest
  • Best Buy
  • Most Viewed
  • Most Reviewed
  • Top Rated
  • Featured Product

I worked out that "latest" was the code for "Latest" but what about the rest?

Also, am I right in thinking that none of these attributes are auto-generated? i.e. There’s nothing checking how many time a product is viewed to tag it as a "Most Viewed" product?

Hi Badders!

This is our description for each modes:

  • Latest: The lastest products.
  • Best Buy: the products what sold the most.
  • Most Viewed: the products what have been viewed the most.
  • Most Reviewed: The products what have been reviewed the most.
  • Top Rated: The products what have been rated the most.
  • Featured Product: the products what have attribute "featured".

For most viewed products: when each time an user view a product on the site, the database will log this action. We have checked database to give this report.

Regards!

I understand the meanings of the modes, perhaps I didn’t clarify my question enough…

Can I use ANY attribute code for the Attribute when I’m editing the Attribute Properties in Admin, i.e. for the Attribute Label "Most Viewed Products" can I use "most-viewed-products" or perhaps "mvp" as the attribute code or is the database expecting to see a specific field name?

Also if the database is logging "Most Viewed Products" is it not also capable of logging "Latest", "Best Buy", "Most Reviewed" and "Top Rated"? This would mean we don’t have to manually assign these attributes to individual products.

Hi Badders!

You can only use "featured" attribute in our module to specific and display featured products. This is an article to manual for product slider module:

The database will specific exactly the fields: "Latest", "Best Buy", "Most Reviewed" and "Top Rated". So you won’t have to assign these attribute to invidual products.
