I already have REDIS installed on my new server.
Do you think I can use REDIS instead of MEMCACHE for the migration ?
(my live and test websites are not hosted on the same server)

Hi there,
It’s pity that our migration tool only supports Memcache at present.
Regarding this additional info:
my live and test websites are not hosted on the same server
You will need to enable a remote MySQL database connection to your Magento 1 database following this guide, as mentioned in your another ticket.
