Multiple questions

Hi, I’m currently researching ways to upgrade a magento 1.9.x to a 2.x when I found you. Before the company decides what way we use to start upgrading I’d like to ask you a few quetions.
What are the system requirements for both the reciever of data and the sender of the data?
What is the approximate usage of RAM and CPU (if possible with the specs of the server) the server uses when it exports +/- 2000 products?
Is there some validation when certain fields cannot be imported for whatever reason? instead of it just continuing and giving no error report.
is there a way to undo changes made in the process? (like a certain field was imported into the wrong destination)
What rights does the extension need to work on the server? (read/write etc.)
How many domains can i convert to 2.x with one license?
is there a possibility to see a live demo thats not a video?
Is it possible to freeze certain licenses untill we choose to use them?
If it was decided we choose UT Data Migration Pro is there a deal for purchasing multiple licenses at once?

Thanks for answering these questions in advance.

Hi Sijmen,
We would like to answer your questions below:

What are the system requirements for both the reciever of data and the sender of the data?
What is the approximate usage of RAM and CPU (if possible with the specs of the server) the server uses when it exports +/- 2000 products?

A. First your server need to pass the requirements for Magento 2: http://devdocs.magento.com/guides/v2.0/install-gde/system-requirements-tech.html
And to improve the migration time, you should implement data migration on a VPS or Cloud server which has SSD hard disk storage and RAM from 4GB+ and 2 -> 4 CPUs or higher

Is there some validation when certain fields cannot be imported for whatever reason? instead of it just continuing and giving no error report.

A. All core data that our migration tool handles is specified in our migration tool, and is automatically verified in accordance with the new Magento 2 standard requirements. In case you run across any issue associated with bad data, you should pause your migration process and contact us. Once the issue is resolved, you will continue the migration process then.

is there a way to undo changes made in the process? (like a certain field was imported into the wrong destination)

A. Our migration tool supports Reset functionality on each step that allows you reset and re-migrate multiple times.

Q. What rights does the extension need to work on the server? (read/write etc.)

A. Our migration tool requires read/write permission for MySQL users and the Read/Write on folders/files on your web root folders for web user (apache/nginx users)

Q. How many domains can i convert to 2.x with one license?

A. Our license grants you permission to migrate from one Magento 1 database instance only. Additional license is needed if you migrate from a new Magento 1 database instance.

Q. is there a possibility to see a live demo thats not a video?

A. At present we only have our video demo that walks you through the whole migration process, including delta migration process.

Q. Is it possible to freeze certain licenses untill we choose to use them?

A. We have both 3 months- and 1 year- subscription. If you still have concern on our migration tool, it would best to take time to find out further before purchase.

Q. If it was decided we choose UT Data Migration Pro is there a deal for purchasing multiple licenses at once?

A. We will provide you discount if you purchase multiple licenses at the same time. Please let us know the number of licenses you plan to purchase.
Hope that helps.
