Hi Mark van Altena,

Please help to provide with more details about the issue you mentioned? Did you refer to the category’s ID value?

Hi Mall,
I mean indeed the category’s id value.
The last time I made a category it got ID 262 and yesterday I made 2 new category’s and they got 887 and 888.
Kind Regards
Hi there,
The last time I made a category it got ID 262 and yesterday I made 2 new category’s and they got 887 and 888.
So, that is normal. It seems you did reset several times in step #4 of our migration tool after the last time you mentioned?
For your information, the category’s ID is automatically defined by MySQL depending on the value of ‘AUTO_INCREMENT’ setting in the table ‘catalog_category_entity’, like in this screenshot: https://prnt.sc/pmkxyd. It helps to avoid IDs conflict (duplicated IDs) when a new data record is added to that table.

Hi Mall,
We did not reset step #4 several times.

Hi Mark van Altena,
We did not reset step #4 several times.
So, how many categories are there in your M2 site now?
Also, as explained in my previous reply, it relates to the database table settings and the working rule of MySQL, not our migration tool though.

Hi Mall,
I found out what the problem is, thanks for your reply and help.
