We have done migration using pro tool. Everything seems perfect. Only subcategories images are missing. Some of are showing but many missing. All files exists at server level in same media folder

What could be solution. Deploy static data, clean cache etc, reindex.. basic thing we already done.

It seem you got issue with folders/files permission on some media files. Let’s re-check folders/files permission on media files you mentioned. If the issue still persists, let’s provide me information about your instance:
+ Admin credentials and URL to back-end
+ SSH credentials and path to M2 folder

hi, I have noticed one thing. in Magento 1 there are two type of images -- thumbnail images and image for categories.
While in Magento 2 there is no thumbnail image only image is there.
So, in magento 1, categories most of the categories have thumbnail images and no images, only few categories has both type of images.
My question is how can I relate thumbnail images(from magento 1) to image(magento 2) for categories?? This will solve my issue.

Yes that is right, Magento 2 does not use the category’s thumbnail attribute.

Please note that, our migration tool helps to migrate category’s media data only and it does not support to convert data from type A to type B.
This will need additional customization to our migration tool to convert category’s thumbnails to category’s image data in M2. If you’re fine with this, we will let you know the estimated quote for this additional customization.
