We have installed JM Irisite template on a wedding dress site -- savvybrides.com.au
We have set the catalog to default sort using the size attribute -- see http://savvybrides.com.au/wedding-dresses
Unfortunately the order of the products is not actually working by size and it seems the template is sorting by alpha-numeric not as just numeric.
We have also tried to add sort order to the attribute values however this does not seem to work.
Would you please let us know how we can fix the sort issue so it sorts correctly by numberic size order?

This feature seem to related to magento core, I don’t think there is anything we can do with the template, which values of the size you enter in the back-end they are just numbers or text including numbers ?
I’m not sure if this relates to the core. It seems the template sort is ignoring the defined sort order.
The values in the backend are just numbers e.g. 6, 8, 10, 12, 14,…

You can try to switch to another theme or even the megento default theme to see if the problem still there ! if it is not there then you can pm me your FTP info/admin account I will have a further checking for you.
