Hello there,
I installed the Plugin accordingly but upon entering Magento 1 Server details I always get this issue. Spoke to Hosting company already and we have external access to the Mysql Database and all data is correct. Can not use the Plugin at all due to this issue.
Please assist.

Hi there,
Please re-correct your M1’s database credentials again. And if your Magento2 server isn’t same server with Magento1, you must enable remote connection from M2’s server to M1’s MySQL server.

indeed our M1 shop is on a different server. than our M2 shop Any hint how to setup this remote connection?
The documentation did not provide detailed enough information for me as a non developer. I fear without a clear instruction I can not make this extension work and have to refund otherwise.

Also, you should contact to your hosting provider of Magento 1 server to get more help on that.

I was checking The description. But for me it was not Clear, do I need to config the my.cnf on the Magento 1 or Magento 2 installation?
