How to add NEW block and position?

Hi,

I am using the great JM Jasmine and I would like to know how can I add new block and position to the home page or to any other inside page.

I will appriciate a tutorial that will explain how to do it from A TO B…

Hi.
I am sorry but it’s not working for me. after adding the code to the Layout Update XML and save it I got a page with error.

I think that the link you provide is not right for all the templates.

Please check and let me know how can I add a New block to my template.
