How to move the sidebar from right to left?

You can follow guide here for more info. First, you need to know which biock one of above belongs to and find out appropriate xml file and change the reference from right to left.

after checking the link you provide here I don’t understand how to fix that issue and how to move the sidebar from right to left.

1. after going to the system >config > debug > and set the template path hints to yes, in the product page all I can see is as the attach image.
2. I tried to go to /app/design/frontend/default/jm_jasmine/layout and open all the xml files and change <reference name="right"> to <reference name="left"> but after doing that and flush the cache, it just removed and NOT moved from right to left.

any ideas? how can I move it from right to left?
