How to remove Powered by JM Jasmine from footer

How to remove footer “Powered by JM Jasmine -- Designed by JoomlArt.com” from the website?
I tried changing the footer -- System -> Configuration -> Design -> Footer but even changing that has no effect. It shows the changed text in the control panel but does not show the changed text in the website.
Please advise

Please go to this file: app\design\frontend\default\jm_jasmine\template\page\html\footer.phtml and change the text like you want to.
