I can see those migrated category listed, but when i click one of them, there is no information displayed. Please help.

That is strange. It seems you working on a cloned M1 database? I need a closer look to detect the root of that issue. Lets provide me information about your instance:
+ Admin credentials and URL to back-end
+ SSH credentials and path to M2 folder
