We’ve just purchased your Magento 2 Migration Tool Pro 3 extension and would like to clarify something in the installation instructions. In the installation instructions, it says we should pause / stop all cron jobs from running?
It states: -- Stop all activities in the Magento 1 Admin Panel and stop all Magento 1.x and Magento 2 cron jobs.
Is this just during the extension installation step…or should we always stop the cron jobs when we are running the extension in the Magento 2 admin area. Obviously, I would assume that we would put Magento 1 into Maintenance Mode to stop any changes to the database during the actual migration process.
Also, we note in the installation video, it does not mention anything about pausing the cron jobs. Is this step really necessary if the Magento 1 site is in maintenance mode.

If you have set maintenance mode for your Magento 1. You don’t need to off the cronjobs on it (this is optional)
