Hi Samatha,
Regarding your question:
I want to migrate data from magento 1 website (only working in php version 5) to magento 2 (only working in php version 7), also my website is in different hosting, so is this possible?
It’s possible with our UB Data Migration Pro.
Under your circumstance, you can select one of the options below:
- You can create a dump file of your Magento 1’s live database, then import such dump file to a new M1 database instance in your new M2 server.
- Or you enable remote MySQL database connection to your Magento 1’live database, then you proceed migration from your Magento 2 as per our guide. You can learn more about how to enable remote M1 MySQL connection here.
For a better performance, we suggest you consider the first option -- creating a dump file of your M1 db.
PS. Please note our migration tool is available for Magento CE only. You can check out the Magento versions our tool support here.
Hope that helps.
