Duplicate websites/stores/views after migration

Hi Team --
After migrating our site, i can see two websites/store/views in the Admin.
The M1 site has only one website/store/view
Main Website (Code: base) Main Website Store (Root Category: Default Category) Default Store View (Code: Default)
The Magento 2 Admin has:
Main Website (Code: base) Default (Code: default_0) Admin (Code:admin)
Main Website (Code: base) Main Website Store (Code: main_website_store) Default Store View (Code: Default)
Why is this and which site should be removed?
Thank you
Andy

Hi there,

Why is this and which site should be removed?

That because you didn’t check ‘MERGE DEFAULT WEBSITES’ in settings in step #2 of our module. If you wish your M2 has only one website after migrated, you must check this setting: http://prntscr.com/105rfmi

Mall.

Hi Mall
I definitely did select the ‘merge option’ along with keeping all ID’s.
https://prnt.sc/105rucv

That’s why I was surprised to see more than one site.
I also don’t see any product categories in the front end.
I can see three main categories in the Admin Categories:
Default Category (ID:2)(0)
Default Category Migrated (ID:3)(0)
Deals of the Week Migrated (ID:4)(4)
Can you advise please?
Andy

So, let’s provide me information about your instance:

  • URL and Admin credentials of your M2 site
  • SSH credentials of your M2 site
  • Let me know the path to the M2 folder

I will help to check further and get back to you then.

PS. Please make sure you mark your reply private or simply switch this ticket to the private mode. Then it’s safe to share your site info here.

Regards,
Mall.
