Many users have renewed their subscriptions so far to get access to the latest UB Data Migration Pro package. You can use the old version you did download, if you choose to. 
However, the renewal is mandatory in case you use our technical support. This is applied to all subscriptions at Ubertheme.

We keep our subscription policy transparent which is applied to all members at Ubertheme, not only you. 
Based on many completed projects, we notice that our users have been using our migration tool to complete their migration projects within weeks successfully rather months, so our standard 3 months subscription is sufficient. In a few cases that our users need extended timeframe, they either selected 1 year subscription or renewed their subscriptions. 
You can still keep using the old Pro version you did download as explained in our previous reply. So the renewal is optional at your discretion.

We’d like to clarify a little bit further: 

I cannot download the version I bought “http://prntscr.com/l3gm49” second of all,

You can still use the old Pro version that you already downloaded. In case you did not keep it, please do let us know, we will send over a copy of such version. 

And I have figured the issue out, so everyone knows and I shall record this answer on Magento Community forums as well, it can be done by installing their extension using Composer and it should work just fine on the latest version.

Regarding the installation option via composer, we do not support this option at the moment. In our installation manual that comes packed with your download package, you can find the detailed step-by-step instruction to proceed installation though. 

the fee to have the latest version for an existing customer should be symbolic not the full fee for god sake if your policy remains this way I guarantee you it will perish one way or another.

We did mention that the renewal is optional. Our subscription-based policy has been applied from the day one, and an active subscription is required for all users at Ubertheme to access our technical support as well as download area (in case you need a copy of the old Pro version you did purchase, we will send over upon your inquiry).
