I am totally new to it and supporting a team to customize shipping details page. What i want is i want to remove all the existing fields and add add just a dropdown to this page.
I believe when i will remove existing fields. May be a validation error or at backend some persistence codes may throw error. How can i remove this fields?
While adding a new dropdown, i need to populate data from a specific table.
1.Does this product allow to create a new table?
2. How to bind new dropdown field data with the persistence codes?
Please let me know what level of customization i need to do on this product. Any help is appreciated.

You shouldn’t remove the attributes of Magento core and Magento doesn’t allow you do this.
