JM Easyshop Theme – Userguide

Hi

We’ve installed this template and all the extentions but we are having some issues.

Firstly the JM products slider does not display the same as your demo when using the parameters given in this userguide.
We had to alter the width of the items to make them fit similarly.

Secondly the JM products slider does not display a scroll bar or autoslide and is truncated on the righthand side of the content sheet. (view attachment ScreenHunter_11 Dec. 09 17.13.jpg (45.4 KB))

Thirdly the JM Tabs is also not displaying correctly. On first load of the page it displays both tabs’ content below each other instead of their respective tabs. (view attachment FireShot capture #003.jpg (100.9 KB))

Fourthly the star rating images are not displaying anywhere on any product. Is there something we need to activate or install for this?

I checked the userguide and there are some mistakes, We’ll update this soon.

Try the following for now please, while we update the userguides:

-- Regarding the first and the second: I am attaching correct JM product slider conffiguration for you, please update your config in the same way.

-- About the third. Please check again all steps.

-- For the fourth, please click to a product, it’ll redirect you to product detail page. you will see below product name a link "Add Your Review", click it and add your reviews. After doing that, please login to admin->Reports->reviews->product reviews, choose product->choose the reviews then approve it, you will see the star rate. This will help you in managing reviews from user (Edit, Approve, delete).

Hi I have created a review for a product and approved it in the backend, but still no stars.

We managed to fix the product slider on our own.

I’ve gone throught the JM tabs steps but cant see what you are referring to?

There is another issue as well.Attachment 10111Attachment 10112
On these images you can see that some products’ prices are randomly larger font size than other. This is happening on the jm tabs module and the products slider.

Any ideas?

About the Reviews, JM tabs and font size for product price issues: Please supply us the login information via this ticket: PCF-640-82893. (You should login to http://support.joomlart.com with your forum username/password). The login information should include:

-- FTP account
-- Admin account
-- PHPMyadmin (optional).

We’ll check the problem for you.

Hi , You havent describe from where can change the menu tabs , and from where can activate or deactivate the easyshop’s color tab of the menu .

Regarding your questions, you could set active, deactive the easyshop’s color tab in our magento themes by following these the steps as mentioned in this article:

Also, you can change the menu tabs by editing this file:

app/design/frontend/default/jm_easyshop/template/catalog/navigation/top.phtml

sorry i just start learn magento , i didnt know that there isnt control of tabs on the admin panel .

Sorry but there is a lot of things that i cant understand with magento easy shop template, , i cant find , from where can i do the settings for the "shop by" , THERE ARENT ANY SETTINGS FOR SOME MODULES LIKE "SHOP BY" & "RELATED PRODUCTS" ON THE ADMIN PANEL ? i translated some words on : app/locale/en_US , i cleared the cache but the result was no translated words WHY ? all the settings are more compicated and not so easy as joomla. templates .

Yeah, I agree with you that Magento is much complex than joomla. It’s not our themes actually its the core magento which is complicated. There isn’t any setting for shop by, related product, you will have to change it in the code, so it is more complex.

If you have problems and you dont find the answers, please raise the same here and i shall help you with directions.

can u team make a .sql file that it will keep all the product&customer&order&reviews’s information but input all of the setting data of this template?
i think not all of the template buyers are experts like u,just want use it simply.
if that,it’s will very easy to install the templates on a live store or upgrade .

I understand that you want to have a .sql file to store all setting of this template, all products, customer reviews..etc… right?

It is very expert that we have quickstart package. That you could use to install a site that look exactly like our template. Did you use it before?

Please tell me if you have another idea that is not the same with my answer.

thanks for your reply,
yes i know your quickstart package,but it’s will clean all the database(some of the customers only want to upgrade to this template,don’t want a brand new installation) and instead of this new one. am i right?
so i just want to say,can u make one .sql file that only contain the setting data ,but don’t clean current we need to save data(such as customer,products,reviews,orders and etc.)
if this is possible,will be perfect!
what do u think of this?

Yes, I understand your ideas. Currently we have 2 ways could do well:

-- users use our templates and make customize to old site with guide of usermanuals.

-- Installing quickstart package, exporting data from old site and then importing to new site (This could be done with products, customers… supported by Magento features).

Currently we have planning in upgrading our Magento themes to 1.5.0.1 that will take a time. After every thing have been compled, We’ll try your suggest and give you the result if possible.

I want to show the language switcher and currency converter under the "top links menu" on the header so I opened "page.xml" file and I found the following two line already exist

Works great for language switcher but for currency converter nothing happened.

What am I doing wrong?

I think it doesn’t a practical solution to add the html code inside the block as many people didn’t know html??!!!!

We installed this theme last year and used it very successfully until March when we changed to a new theme which, you will be pleased to hear, relaly underperformed. Problem is we had problem with the change and so can not simply go back. We have installed the template in mundogadgets.es and want to configure it all to then migrate to gadgetsbaratos.es

My problem is that I have added the extensiosn but can not find how to add the 12 custom modules. What have we done wrong?
