JM Product Slider – Charming product showcase in a slide

I don’t know if this is how it was planned or if you are aware of, but the JM Extensions also can be downloaded with a JA Developer Membership. I looked over the download section and could download those. Now I am not about to use those, alone because I do no have a membership for the JM Club and they are also still in beta, but I have found one issue about these extensions in general right away, so maybe it had some use that I also could download those with my JA Developer Membership access rights to the downloads.

To the problem with the modules:

Some parts of the modules are stored in the /app/code/local folder and this is not good. I am also new to Magento but already have seen notes by other people to developers of extensions that this is not very useful as whenever doing an update via MagentoConnect, the files in this folder may be overwritten or deleted.

So, how it looks, it is only useful to store those data in the /app/code/community folder, as this folder stays untouched by any Magento update like the just new 1.3.0 version that was released.

Again, I deem this information to be correct, also looked over my server to see that all other modules installed are indeed located in the /app/code/community folder while my /app/code/local is empty.

So, I hope that the new single downloads and also the extensions included in the templates will be updated to work this way.

This looks like a very enticing feature.. I would definetly like tot add it to my site..
