Reset Step 2 (websites, stores) reflect or not

Hello Sir
I have successfully migrated M1 database to M2 Database, But all stores and website id’s got changed in M2 Database due to checked box “MERGE DEFAULT WEBSITES” in Step 2
Original Stores and Websites ids are very important into M2 Database and we don’t want to be changed.
To solve this issue, I will reset Step 2 (Stores and Websites) and Remigrate Step 2 without checkbox “MERGE DEFAULT WEBSITES”
Will it reflect changed store, website id to customers, orders…. table?
Because store_id,website_id contains in many tables in M2
OR
Do we have to remigrate all data again?
Your reply is very important to us in this issue
Thank you in Advance.

Yeah, that is right. As you see your M2 instance always has default website and store, thus that approach is required to avoid IDs conflict.

To solve this issue, I will reset Step 2 (Stores and Websites) and Remigrate Step 2 without checkbox “MERGE DEFAULT WEBSITES”
Will it reflect changed store, website id to customers, orders…. table?

If you unselect the option ‘MERGE DEFAULT WEBSITES’, the migrated websites, stores still gets new IDs. Then after this change, you’re required to reset all steps and restart data migration in all steps of our tool.
Please make sure you strictly follow our user guide Readme.html packed with your download package.
Regards,
Mall.

Hi Mall

Thank you very much for your reply.

I read Readme.html very carefully.

I reset Step 2 and remigrated Step 2 by keeping unchecked “MERGE DEFAULT WEBSITES” checkbox, but it still generating new store, website, group Ids,

You know that Store ID, Website ID is very important if you are on large scale and using third party software like Salesforce, Domo.

Is there any way we can keep original ID in Magento 2 Database?

let me know

Thank you

thanks

Yes, that is right. And I have explained about that in reply #1.

It’s pity that option to keeps original Ids for Websites, Stores and Store views objects in our tool.
Our migration tool supports ‘Keep Original IDs’ for Products, Customers, Sales data as indicated in our migration dashboard (Step 5, 6, 7). You can check out the screenshot of these steps here. The option to keep original IDs for website, stores and store views is not in place yet.

Thanks.
