We have some problems with our Migrated Attributes

Hello,

Some time ago we bought the UB Datamigration Tool Pro from you. But now we stumble on a problem regarding the attribute’s.
The migrated attribute’s can not be changed, only if you change the backend_type to ‘text’ instead of varchar in “eav_attribute”. but the problem then the attribute is not working in filter in the front-end.

Maybe you have an idea how i can solve this, because it’s becoming a issue on our live site

  1. https://github.com/magento/magento2/issues/4822This is the same problem, but the fix mentioned by changing the "null" to "Magento\Eav\Model\Entity\Attribute\Backend\ArrayBackend" doesn't workThis is the link that i found with changing the varchar to text:https://github.com/magento/magento2/issues/4822#issuecomment-406323195

Hi Paul Kuijten,

Maybe you have an idea how i can solve this, because it’s becoming a issue on our live site

Actually, the issue you mentioned relates to Magento’s specific issue with your data setting case and it doesn’t relate to our migration tool.
Did you change the back_model value from ‘NULL’ to ‘Magento\Eav\Model\Entity\Attribute\Backend\ArrayBackend’
for the attribute you mentioned following the workaround in the post you referred to: https://github.com/magento/magento2/issues/4822 ?
If yes, please make sure you did reindex data and clean Magento cache after making changes. If the issue still persists then, please provide me information about your instance below:
+ Admin credentials and URL of your M2 back-end
+ SSH credentials and let me know the path to your M2 folder
+ Let me know the attribute code which has issue you mentioned and a related product’s SKU

I will help to check further and get back you then.
Regards.
Mall.
