So the new year is here and we are really excited about lots of things we’d love to make happen in 2012. However, before we share our coming goals, let’s look back at what we achieved in the now gone year 2011.
JMTC club completed its second successful year and we gave away 100’s of complimentary renewals to our members. Dec 2011 saw special promotion for Magento and the prices / duration of the memberships were updated and based on the response we are thinking to keep it that way. The new pricing / membership duration can be seen on the signup page.
On an average each of Magento theme was taken up for update process every 3th month. Since, we support only the latest version of magento, the club assets were easy to maintain and upgrade. Currently all are updated for Magento 1.6.1.0.

Our Team
We almost doubled our team size and found great dedicated moderators all over the world. Without their years of experience in the forums and with JoomlArt products, our customer service wouldn’t be at that level as it is today. We still have challenges upfront but we are ready for the next steps in 2012. Thanks to all moderators, our internal technical support team and new team members. Welcome aboard!
Agile Development Methodology
Along with our extensions, templates and themes we have started this year to apply agile development principles in the entire company. Agile software development is new to us and we have to learn a lot more about lean, agile and self-managing teams, with the goal to bring products early to our customers, get faster feedback and keep you happy. Thanks to Scrum and our patient team members for learning and improving sprint by sprint.
House Renovation:
In 2010 we introduced the “Play before you pay” feature and users really love it. It proves for us the importance of being able to try before purchase.
In 2011 we put the live demo top bar accessible 100% on the entire site, to make sure our readers can always experience our products well before making any decision.
Responsive Web Design
There are 2 things we strongly believe RWD will be trending in web development in general:
- The rise of HTML5, CSS3, booming JavaScript libraries improves user experience at incredible speed.
- Mobile devices has changed the way we interact with the “browser”. You can see the figure 1 below, a real statistic of mobile visitors to joomlart site in 2011.
